Be part of John Lennon's birthday celebration in Denver! Our bands will play "muse" to the hundreds of artists who will be gathering in the Civic Center Park for the Imagine Peace Paint-In!
What We Ask:
We are looking for bands who play music that is philosophically and socially in line with John Lennon's message. You don't have to sound like the Beatles, but you do need to feel some love for John!
We ask that you play at least one or two songs by John Lennon (Beatles or post-Beatles), and we also encourage you to play a song about peace. Other than that - please feel free to use our stage to play your own original music! Each band will play for about an hour.
What We Offer:
Since this event is a benefit for several peace organizations, we are hoping to attract bands who do not require cash payment. What we can offer is:
- Massive Exposure. This event will be very big, with lots of media coverage.
- Your band name, photo, information and website link on our website and in our thousands of emails.
- Free beverages and food during the event.
- We provide the PA System.
We can only accommodate a very limited number of bands, as we are planning to have only one main stage at the Paint-In. Band booking is being handled by Kathy Josey, band manager for Denver's Ten Tiers, and program director for Horrorfest Denver.

- Band Name
- City and State
- Website URL (if any)
- MySpace URL (if any)
- Link to hear song samples
- John Lennon/peace songs you plan to cover
- JPEG of the band (not too big or too small...)
- You may also include a short statement about your participation.
